Comic art is the creation of stylized or simplified
drawings for the purpose of telling a
story, asking a point or making people laugh.
Cartoon is a form of visual communication that
became popular with the invention of
modern newspaper and motion picture in the 20th
century. A cartoon is as old as man. The earliest
example of a cartoon can be found in caves.
Cartoonist is a person who makes cartoon
characters.

You can choose which of the two art processes you
want, either the hand-drawn ordigital-drawing.
Always keep in mind the elements and principles of
art. You will draw your favorite cartoon character.
For hand-drawn cartoon character, follow these
instructions.
1. Choose your favorite cartoon character.
2. Draw it using a blank sheet of paper or a bond
paper.
For digitally-created cartoon character, follow
these instructions.
1. Choose your favorite cartoon character.
2. Open any available software (Paint, PowerPoint,
Inkscape, etc.) or any mobile
application (Autodesk Sketch Book Pro or
anything).
3. Draw your favorite cartoon character on your
computer or mobile phones.
Don’t forget to save your work once you are done.
