 A comparison should be made between the maximum flow of running secondary water pumps at the

P a g e 35 | 60
assigned speed ( and the system required flow ).

**

 If the maximum flow of running secondary water pumps at the assigned speed ( is lower than or
equal the required flow ) the number of secondary water pumps should be increased

by one.
**

- lead/lag sequence depending on runtime hours will control the rotation of the secondary water
pumps, the one with greatest operating hours is not to be commanded.
- Any failure /failed to start the secondary water pump, the next one as per lead/lag sequence
must start to replace it.

 DCP Rules: -

 In case of power failure, a set of 5 Absorption chillers and 1 secondary pump will replace
the Centrifugal plant (if it is the running one).
 Thermal Energy Storage (TES) Tanks must be charged with 4°C (39.2F).
 Consider TES temperature loss 1% per day.
 The plant will not charge from the TES if its temperature greater than 4.5°C (40.1F).
