1.2Profile of Laxmi Bank Limited.

Laxmi bank was incorporated in April 2002 as the 16th commercial bank in Nepal. In 2004 Laxmi
Bank merged with HISEF Finance Limited, a first generation financial company which was first
merger in Nepal Corporate History. Laxmi Bank is a category A Financial institution and re-
registered in 2006 under the “Banks and Financial Institutions Act” of Nepal. The banks shares
are listed and actively traded on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). Laxmi Bank’s shares are
listed as Promoters Share: 51%, General public Share: 40.32% and Investment trust:8.68%. the
bank is primarily recognized as stringent credit policies, conservative approach to banking and
pioneers in technological innovations in the banking services. Its main head office is in Hattisar,
Kathmandu. In 2016, the bank also acquired Professional Diyalo Bikash Bank, a regional
