• To analysis the relationship between net profit and fixed deposit of the bank over the study
period.
• To analysis the fixed deposit trend of Civil Bank.

The major finding of the study are:

• The fixed deposit to total deposit ratio of the bank is in increasing trend over the last five
years. The fixed deposit to total deposit ratio is highest in the fiscal year 2011/12 and lowest
in fiscal year 2007/08.
• The relationship between net profit and fixed deposit is perfectively positive. Which is
calculated by coefficient of correlation.
• The fixed deposit trend of the bank is increasing. The bank collect the highest fixed deposit
in fiscal year 2011/12 and lowest in fiscal year 2007/08.

1.6 Method
A systematic study needs to follow a proper methodology to achieve pre determined objective.
Research methodology may be defined as “a systematic process that is adopted by the researcher
in studying problems with certain objective and view”. In other words, research methodology
describes the methods and process applied in the entire aspect of the study focus of data, data
gathering instrument and procedure, data tabulating and processing and methods of analysis. It is
really a method of critical thinking by defined and redefining the problem, formulating hypothesis
or suggested solution and collecting and organizing and evaluating data, making deduction and
making conclusions.

1.6.1 Types of Research

There are two types of research qualitative and quantitative research. This study is based on the
quantitative research. In this research I used secondary data only and I have done my thesis for
the Partial fulfilled of the requirement for the degree of Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS).
