I have no idea how it happened, but the ritual failed. I thought she was just insane, but apparently she HAD

managed to contact some sort of higher power. Inside of me, I felt it, a manifestation of rage and bloodshed, like a

massive undulating maggot, spectral and glorious, shining with crimson light, somehow repulsive and dignified

at the same time. I shut the connection to the other realm. I have no idea how, but I did it. but it stayed with me,
