2. COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS

A blend of solvent-refined mineral oil, lithium soap thickener and proprietary performance
additives.

3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION
The material is not rendered hazardous to health by any of its components.

POTENTIAL HAZARD
HEALTH
Assessment of available toxicological data indicates that this material :
 Will be unlikely to cause harm to the skin on brief or occasional contact, but as
with all mineral oil based products, prolonged or repeated exposure may lead to
dermatitis.
 Will be unlikely to cause more than transient stinging or redness if accidental eye
contact occurs.
 Will be unlikely to cause harm if accidentally swallowed, although ingestion of
large amounts may cause gastro-intestinal effects such as discomfort, vomiting
and diarrhoea.
 Will be unlikely to present an inhalation hazard at ambient temperatures. If gases
under high pressure is injected under the skin, prompt medical attention is
necessary.

SAFETY
Spilled material may make surface slippery.
As with all mineral oil based product, this material is combustible.

ENVIRONMENTAL
This material may be harmful to aquatic organism.

PRECAUTIONS
HEALTH
Avoid overheating leading to the production of fumes.
Avoid contact with eyes.
Avoid contact with skin and observe good personal hygiene.
Change heavily contaminated clothing.
Wash hand thoroughly after use, and always wash hands before eating, drinking or
using the toilet.
Use single use disposable cloths and discard when soiled.

SAFETY
Store at ambient temperature away from ignition sources.
Clean up spilled material immediately.

ENVIRONMENTAL
Take all necessary precautions against accidental spillage into soil or water.

PROTECTIVE CLOTHING
Protective clothing, including impervious gloves, should be worn if skin contact is
anticipated.
Wear face visor or goggles if eye contact can accidentally occur. Protective clothing
should be regularly inspected and maintained; overalls should be dry-cleaned and
laundered.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

First Aid – Eye Wash eye thoroughly with copies quantities of water, ensuring
eyelids are held open. Obtain medical advice if any pain or
redness develops or persists.

First Aid – Skin Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water after contact.
Change contaminated clothing and dry-clean or launder before
re-use.
Medical advice must be obtained urgently if product under high
pressure has been injected through the skin.

First Aid – Ingestion If contamination of the mouth occurs, wash it out thoroughly
with water. Obtain medical advice if large amounts is
swallowed-do not induce vomiting.

First Aid – Inhalation If inhalation fumes from overheated material causes irritation to
the nose or throat, or coughing remove to fresh air. Obtain
medical advice if any symptoms persist.

MEDICAL ADVICE
There are no specific antidotes or other therapeutic measures treat
symptomatically.
Injections through the skin from contact with high pressure/ velocity sprays
are SERIOUS MEDICAL EMERGENCIES. Injuries may not appear serious at
first but within a few hours tissue become swollen, discolored, and extremely
painful with extensive subcutaneous necrosis. Emergency surgical
exploration and through cleansing of the wound and underlying tissues is

necessary to minimize necrosis and tissue loss. NOTE : high pressure may
force material considerable distance along tissue planes.

5. EMERGENCIES ACTION

FIRE
Extinguish using dry powder, foam, water fog, or (for small fires) carbon dioxide or BCF.
(Note : use of BCF/ halon extinguishers is considered environmentally unacceptable).
Fires in confined spaces should be dealt with by trained personnel wearing breathing
apparatus.

SPILLAGE
Scrap up bulk of material and remove the remainder with a suitable absorbent. Do not
wash into drainage system.

DISPOSAL
Dispose of by incineration or other suitable means under condition approved by the local
authority.
