Statement of the Problem

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of coffee (coffea) grounds as Soil fertilizer

in Snake Plant Growth.

Specifically, the researchers aim to answer this following questions:

1. Is there an active components of coffee (coffea) grounds which can utilized as soil

fertilizer?

2. What is the level/measurement of coffee grounds in terms of:

2.1 Physical and chemical analysis of coffee grounds

2.2 Presence of caffeine

2.3 Amount (in grams) of coffee grounds in each different ratio of soil.

3. What is the level/measurement of soil fertilizer in terms of:

3.1 Physical and chemical analysis of soil.

3.2 Soil fertility

4. What is the growth level/measurement of snake plant in terms of:

4.1 Height

4.2 Color

4.3 Formation of new structures (Presence of stem and roots)

4.4 Weight

5. Is there a significant difference in soil fertility between the soil with and without coffee

grounds?

6. Is there a significant difference in the growth of snake plant between using the soil with

and without coffee grounds?

7. Is there a significant relationship in soil fertility between the soil with and without coffee

grounds?

8. Is there a significant relationship in the growth of snake plant between using the soil with

and without coffee grounds?

9. How effective is the coffee (coffea) grounds as soil fertilizer to the snake plant growth?
