The story of Kalea Lifts began in 1898 in
Gothenburg, when engineer Knut Anders
Larsson founded a small electrical company
with a name based on his initials; Knut Anders
Larssons Elektriska Aktiebolag, KALEA.
1930
In the 1930’s Kalea started to manufacture
customised traction lifts and soon became one
of the major lift manufacturers in Sweden, also
exporting lifts to neighbouring Scandinavian
countries.

Today Kalea has offices in

Gothenburg and Stockholm
in Sweden, as well as several
showrooms across South East
Asia and a worldwide network
of distributing partners. Our lifts
are designed and manufactured
in the Cibes Lift Group facilities
in Gävle, in the North of Sweden.
Kalea is one of the oldest still

Back then, Kalea was a company
providing electric installation and
lifting devices to the Gothenburg
harbor and various industrial
companies, but started importing
and selling lifts in 1921.

Kalea continued to make customised
traction lifts into the 1990’s, when
company activities shifted towards
platform lifts and accessibility solutions.

In 2008, Kalea Lifts became
part of Cibes Lift Group, a
world-leading manufacturer

Screw type lifting platform moves on the screw through the nut to drive the platform to move up and down. Because
of its driving principle, screw type lifting and leveling The platform does not need pit, does not need machine room
and has its own shaft, which is very convenient, economical and practical for home use. In terms of safety, screw driving
mode relatively speaking, it is less likely to fall, which is more suitable for customers with high security requirements.

Our core philosophy: Simpler is better. In line with our Nordic roots and design philosophy, our lift is designed to be minimalistic, to easily fit into the home. We
removed all unnecessary accessories and focused on providing a safe lift that would simply look good, with no extra frills. This comes with an advantage, of course:
standardizing our design allows us to pass on great cost savings to our customers, ensuring that our lift is great quality for a great price.

SCREW-DRIVEN
PLATFORM LIFT
A Kalea lift is a platform lift, which means it has no cabin and therefore does
not require a shaft, making it perfect for installation within the home e. g.
middle of the staircase, within a room, against a wall.

Furthermore, vertical movement is achieved through our screw drive

technology. The platform rests on a nut that, as it turns, drives the lift up or
down. This technology provides a dual advantage:

1. No need for a pit, or space for a machine room and hoist way, making it
an incredible space-saving solution.

2. Better safety than traditional traction lifts.

Each Kalea lift is produced and fully assembled in our factory in
Gävle,Sweden, where it undergoes intensive testing before being
shipped out to Philippines.

All of our products are carefully monitored and inspected to ensure that
they meet all European safety and quality standards, including but not
limited to the all-important SIL-3 examination. Safety and security are at
the core of our mission.
