All Ears Are With Us

From the very beginning, communication is essential. From place to town, our grandparents exchanged
romantic letters. Our parents have been trying to speak with us even if we still don't fully understand
them since they were so proud of us the day we first started talking. You should be able to offer your
friend the comfort she needs when she is upset and wants to share the reason why with you. You should
be able to understand your boss when he asks you to accomplish something for the company so that
you will know what to do and won't feel embarrassed at your work.

Why is communication a skill that cannot be taken for granted? Every day, communication helps us learn
new things, and it also teaches us how to communicate effectively. Being a good listener, being able to
understand, and using appropriate body language are the top three communication skills we have
obtained from our assigned activity. It is simple to say that we acknowledge what the other person says,
but if you don't comprehend what they're saying and use the improper body language, you won't be
seen as a good listener, and anyone who attempts to talk to you won't want to engage in conversation
or do anything with you. Being an active listener is the first lesson I learned. You should have the time to
pay attention to what they have to say and who knows? They might feel comfortable enough with you
to tell you everything. Understanding is the second requirement. It is a crucial element in
communication since it influences the conversation you are having.

What you are about to tell him will depend on how you perceive the person. Understanding is essential
in preventing misunderstandings and misinterpretations between individuals. Lastly, using the
appropriate body language is regarded as nonverbal communication as well. The gesture, eye contact,
and facial expression you use when speaking to someone says everything. More so than the words you
say, it influences the conversation. So, whether we are lying or not, our mothers will always know. Also,
the interviewer may tell if you are worried or not by the way your voice and knees tremble while you are
looking for a job. These are the top three lessons I took away from this activity, and when I discovered
them, I felt enlightened. However, I have already learned these things as a result of our daily
interactions with other people as we have grown up.

In conclusion, I now have more understanding about communication and am eager to use it to
effectively communicate with others so that they may understand both what I'm saying and what
I'm trying to say. For instance, we must take responsibility for our deeds and the words we use to make
amends to our friend, such as sincerely apologizing. Another illustration would be how we would
respond politely and appropriately to our parents when speaking with them. We know now how to
communicate with those around us and perhaps even impart some of the knowledge I have gained.
