Resistance:

MORPHEUS (knows all spies except Spy Leader). He is the leader of the rebel group. If he is assassinated by Assassin at the
end of the game, rebels lose. Morpheus learns the identities of all spies (except Spy Leader) at the beginning of the game,
but not their exact roles.

BODYGUARD (knows Morpheus but also Fake Morpheus). Bodyguard learns the identities of Morpheus and Fake Morpheus
at the beginning of the game, but does not know which is which.

Spies:

All spies except Spy Leader are known to Morpheus. All spies know each other except Solo Spy (he doesn't know other
spies and other spies don't know him).

ASSASSIN (spies win if he kills Morpheus). Wins the game for spies if correctly identifies and assassinates Morpheus when
the game ends. Can also discuss it with other spies but makes the final decision. Solo Spy can also join in the final
discussion but since roles are not revealed yet, resistance players can also claim to be Solo Spies and try to confuse
Assassin. Knows all other spies except Solo Spy. Known to Morpheus as a spy. Can also be combined with Fake Morpheus
with less players.

FAKE MORPHEUS (pretends to be Morpheus to confuse Bodyguard). Sent in to spread confusion. Known as possible
Morpheus (along with the real Morpheus) to Bodyguard. Knows all other spies except Solo Spy. Known to Morpheus as a
spy. Can also be combined with Assassin with less players.

SPY LEADER (only spy not known to Morpheus). Knows all other spies except Solo Spy. Spy leader is the only player that
Morpheus does not know is a spy.

SOLO SPY (has no contact with other spies). Does not know who the other spies are and the other spies do not know, who
the Solo Spy is. Is known to Morpheus as a spy. Since Assassin doesn't know him, can also be mistakenly be assassinated by
Assassin at the end of the game.

Consulting the Oracle (after 2nd, 3rd and 4th mission) - The last player in the seating order (the person to the right of the
first team leader) starts off with the Oracle (use a token). After the 2nd mission, this player chooses one other player and
learns the alignment (but not the exact role) of that player. The targeted player passes a voting card (YES for rebel and NO
for spy) to the player with the Oracle. The player with the Oracle secretly takes a look at the card to learn the aligment of
the target and passes it back to the target. The target then becomes the next player with the Oracle to look at someone
else's alignment after the next mission. Any person who has already used the Oracle may not be targeted by the Oracle.

Hacker - During the team building phase, the team leader assigns one team member (but not himself) as the Hacker.
During the mission phase, team members select their mission cards and place it in front of them so that it is clear,
which player placed which card. Now the Hacker MAY force another team member to switch their mission card, so
that the unplayed mission card becomes the played mission card. After switching the cards, the Hacker gets to
secretly look at the original played card. He now knows, which card the other player originally played and if the
switch was beneficial to the quest or not. The leader now collects the played mission cards and shuffles them as
normal.

Print and cut these to slip them into sleeved cards of Resistance:

BODYGUARD (knows Morpheus and Fake Morpheus)

REBEL (regular resistance fighter, no special rules)

ASSASSIN (spies win if he kills Morpheus)

FAKE MORPHEUS (pretends to be Morpheus)

SPY LEADER (only spy not known to Morpheus)

You can use two sleeved "The Plot Thickens" cards for these temporary roles:

unplayed mission card becomes the played
mission card. After switching the cards, secretly
look at the original played card.

Consulting the Oracle - (after 2nd, 3rd and 4th

mission) choose a player and secretly learn his
alignment (but not the exact role). That player
now becomes the next player to consult the
Oracle after the next mission. Any person who
has already used the Oracle may not be targeted
by the Oracle.
