2023 Honda HR-V Trim Levels

The Honda Hi-Rider Revolutionary-Vehicle (HR-V) model is a subcompact SUV first

manufactured in 1999 and distributed exclusively in Japan. This subcompact SUV
has undergone several generational changes, with its latest redesign to adopt the
Honda Civic’s looks – making it a much larger and fiercer car.

Unlike the 2022 model, the 2023 model has a two-inch extended wheelbase and is
about 9 inches longer than its predecessor - making it appear bigger and taller than
its older models. The 2023 model is offered to customers in three trim levels: LX,
Sports, and the EX-L trim with no hybrid options for any of the trim levels.

Similarly, all trims share a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine with an automatic CVT gearbox
capable of producing 158 hp and 138lb-ft torque power. Standard HR-V comes with
a front-wheel drive upgradable to an all-wheel drive for an extra buck.

In addition, the complementary package includes power-adjustable mirrors, a 7.0-

inch touchscreen audio player, a 4-speaker sound system and other premium
technology.

2023 Honda HR-V vs. LX Trim Levels

The 2023 Honda HR-V LX model shares the same engine type with all three trim
levels compared to its 2022 model. It uses the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine with an
automatic CVT gearbox that produces 158 hp and 138lb-ft torque power. LX trims
come with a front-wheel drive upgradable to an all-wheel drive for $1500.

Its exterior is beautifully designed with a led headlighting and an L-shaped carbon
absorber. A 214 by 16 tire wraps around the 17-inch wheel. You can also find the
Honda sensor on the top centre of the windscreen. In addition, LX has a matte
honeycomb-like front grille and trimming on the rear bumper.
A good look at the Honda HV-R remote shows similarity with the 2022 Honda Civic
but excludes the start button for the LX trim.
Considering the mileage for FWD, all trims have the same - that is 26 mpg for city,
32 mpg combined and 28 mpg for highway. For the AWD, all trims have 25 mpg for
the city, 30 mpg combined and 27 mpg for the highway. The HR-V has a sizeable
14-gallon gas tank, making it efficient for travelling. Honda manufacturers claim the
HR-V consumes 3.6 gallons of fuel per 100 miles travelled, which is very impressive.

Interior features include a 24-cu. ft cargo space, expandable to 55 cu. ft when the
seat is collapsed. Unlike its predecessors, the LX trim excludes the magic seats.
Nevertheless, Honda claims the seats are still wide enough to occupy 3 people
comfortably. There is additional storage underneath the cargo floor.

The LX comes with other standard interior features in the HV-R series, including a 7-
inch touch screen display with a multi-view rear camera display, a drive mode assist,
hill descend control, a volume control knob and two USB ports.
It also has integrated Apple Car Play and an Android smartphone option.

You can have an enjoyable drive with its 4-speaker audio system, adjustable volume
knob and an automatic climate control option. In addition, it is a height-adjustable
driver seat.

2023 Honda LX vs. HR-V Sport Trim Levels

The Honda HR-V Sport is available as an FWD and upgradeable to an AWD for
$1500. There are five available packages for Sports, including the All-Seasoned
Protection Package 1, All-Seasoned Protection Package 2, The HPD Package, the
Protection Package, and the Rugged Package.

Like the LX trim, Sport has 26 mpg for the city, 32 mpg for highway, and 38 mpg
combined. The vehicle consumes about 3.6 gallons of gas per 100 miles. It also has
a 14-gallon gas tank.

Almost all lights in the Sport trim are LED lighting, including the headlight, taillight
and most interior lights. The Sport trim has an 18-inch gloss black alloy wheel.
Sport's remote includes a start engine button excluded from the LX version. Also
found in the exterior are its chrome exhaust finisher and tinted rear windows.

On the plus side, the Sport trim has a heated front seat and six speakers compared
to the four speakers available in the LX. Also missing in the LX trim is the Blind Spot
Information System with CTM, which is available in the Sport package.

2023 Honda HR-V Sport vs. EX-L Trim Levels 150-200 words
The EX-L trim is the most advanced of the Honda HR-V trims. It comes with a 17-
inch machined finished alloy with a glossy and shark grey design. On its top is a
sunroof unique to the EX-L trim only. Its mileage is the same as the LX and Sports
trims. The EX-L comes with ambient LED lighting.

Another unique feature of the EX-L is its front and rear parking sensors. It has a
leather-trimmed seat with the driver seat with an 8-way power adjustment. The front
seats are also heated like the Sports version.
What is great about the Sport include it's heated and gloss black side mirrors with
integrated turn indicators.

EX-L trim also features the BSI with a cross-traffic monitor and wireless phone
charger as well as the dual-zone automatic climate control. Like the Sport, it comes
with an 8-speaker package.
In addition, it also has a low-speed braking control option unique to this version.

Which 2023 Honda HR-V Trim Should You Buy? 150-200

words

Each of the Honda HR-V trim has its pros and cons that should be carefully
considered before making a purchase. But which of the Honda HR-V should you
buy? Well LX trim is the cheapest option and will be best if you are low on the
budget. It provides more value for a higher price, including general LED lighting,
driver assist, and other helpful technological improvements. Options like heated
seats, driver aid , and affordable price compared to the EX-L make the Sport popular
among buyers. Let’s not forget the six-speaker feature compared to the 4 offered by
LX.
If you have a bigger budget and are aiming for luxury, then the EX-L trim is the best
package. It offers ambient LED lighting, BSI with cross-traffic monitor, an optional 8
speakers, and a leather-trimmed stitch. The EX-L offers you the most luxurious
experience you can get from the Honda HV-R.

All of these cars are game-changers, but if you're looking for a more affordable car
go for the LX trim. The Sports is also great value, so cosider this too.
