1 PC SOFTWARE
1.1 F1 CHANGE OVER
The only change from the previous version is the option to feed the engine with Sequential and Full group
injection.

1.2 F2 LAMBDA
It has been introduced the parameter “Fuel trim bank 2”, that allows to change the k factor for the bank 2 of a
6-8 cylinders engine. This value (range –20 ÷ +20) will increase/reduce, for bank 2, the k factor defined in the
main carburation map for bank 1. If a “0” value is set, the two banks will have exactly the same “k” factors.

3
1.3 F3 EMISSIONS
The previous emissions table allowed to define the threshold value for lean/rich mixture in function of rpm.
This new table allows to define this threshold, in function of rpm and map value. This because it’s possible to
be at the same rpm in different gears and so different loads, that can require different rich/lean settings.

1.4 F4 LAMBDA
No changes from the previous version

4
1.5 F5 MAP
The only change from the previous version is the new option to switch from petrol to gas and viceversa,
directly from the software.

1.6 F6 ADJUSTMENTS
Related to previous versions, on the basic configurations the temperature corrections have been made
stronger (till –21°C and –22°C).

5
1.7 F7 MODIFY CARBURATION
It have been introduced two bars for extra-injections and enrichment management.
When petrol ECU gives an extra-injection signal to petrol injectors, the Dream ECU convert it in a gas
injection. Being the time of petrol extra-injections very low (1,0 ÷ 2,0 ms), it could happen that gas injectors
are not able to open, giving a precise and proportional gas flow rate. To manage this it has been introduced
an extra-injection offset time that will be added to gas injection time:
Tgas = k(Tpetr/rpm) x Tpetr + Textra-offset
If “Extra-injection sensitiveness” bar is set to the minimum value, the Dream ECU convert the petrol injection
time into gas injection time without any offset time (Textra-offset = 0).
If “Extra-injection sensitiveness” bar is set to the maximum value, the Dream ECU convert the petrol injection
time into gas injection time with the maximum offset time (Textra-offset = 3,6 ms).

The “Enrichment in acceleration” bar allows to reduce the gas injection time (fuel flow rate) when
accelerating.
If “Enrichment in acceleration” bar is set to the maximum value, the Dream ECU apply the gas injection time
calculated from the map, without any correction. Moving the bar cursor towards minor values (-), the gas
injection time in acceleration, will be reduced having a smoother acceleration.
It has also been introduced another parameter that is “Weakening on Mazda”. This command allow to solve
a trouble that has been detected mainly on Mazda cars. In these vehicles it happens that, in certain
conditions, the engine starts working from fully sequential to semi-sequential. In this moment the petrol
injection time usually decreases at about 50 % of the previous value, so the cursor in the main carburation
map is moving to an upper position and to a “k” factor value that is not suitable. The consequence is that the
car starts to run with small shots. The new SW allows to set here a value, that will be subtracted to the “k”
factor of the main carburation map, solving this trouble.
1.8 AUTOCALIBRATION STARTING TIME
The new default time at autocalibration starting, has been changed from 4,2 ms to 3,5 ms. This should allow
an easier autocalibration, even for cars like Range Rover, that had some troubles in the past.

6
2 ECU FIRMWARE
Inside the CD with the new Software, there are also two new firmwares:

• 2001N_#01200.po4 (3-4 cylinders)

• 2568_#01800.po8 (5-6-8 cylinders)

With these firmwares, two new features have been introduced:

1) When the system switches back to petrol for a low gas pressure value, all the leds start blinking and the
switch start buzzing. If the switch button is pushed, everything stops and the petrol led light on. If
pushing again the button, the system will be ready to switch on gas again. The previous firmware
versions required to stop the car and switch off the engine to run again on gas.
2) The emergency start happens also in a new way. If the engine is cranked pushing at the same time the
switch button, the system starts on gas.
