II. The Effects of Cultural Differences on Global Business (10 points)

It is vital for businesses to understand that cultural differences can affect how they perform in the local
markets they are targeting. One of the first things to consider is communication
because bridging the language gap is extremely important in business talks.
Culture influences so many aspects of how people behave that it’s easy to forget
you have one at all. As people grow older, they learn to conform to cultural
standards, but if you do business abroad, you’ll quickly understand that not
everyone wants to do business the way you do. A society’s cultural patterns
govern the acceptable responses to certain social situations. Understanding the
impact of culture on business has become a basic competency that a
multinational corporation must possess in order to stay in business. Cultural
norms can influence whether or not employees in junior or middle-management
positions feel comfortable standing up in meetings, questioning senior decisions,
or expressing a different opinion. Businesses intending to enter the global market
must rigorously grasp how cultural variations can affect their business behaviour
in other markets. Their success is dependent on their awareness of cultural
variety and the fact that each market has its own set of goals, tastes, and
expectations.

III. Choose one country and point out the explanation of their culture from different countries. (10
points)]

The brilliance of the past influenced Cambodian culture and artistic expression. The Khmer empire owed
much of its success to Indian influence, but it also made unique contributions to Asian civilization.
Following Cambodia's independence from France in 1953, the government put a strong emphasis on
speeding the country's rebirth. This occurred at the same time as the fast expansion of primary and
secondary school facilities, as well as the rise of education as the most important factor in determining
social mobility. Religious principles have directed and inspired Cambodian art throughout its history. The
confluence of indigenous animistic ideas and the historically Indian religions of Hinduism and Buddhism
resulted in a distinct Khmer style.

and your employees, which can enhance morale and productivity. Any business owner needs to be
able to communicate effectively. Your ability to communicate effectively can mean the difference

V. Discuss briefly the types of economic system? (10 points)

There are many types of economies around the world. Each have its
own characteristics, although they all share some basic features.
Economic systems can be categorized into four main types:
The traditional economic system is built on goods, services, and
labor, which all follow well-established patterns. It is heavily reliant on
individuals, with little division of labor or specialization. The traditional
economy is, in essence, the most fundamental and oldest of the four
types. In a command economic system, there is a dominant centralized
authority, usually the government that controls a large percentage of
the economy. The command economic system, often known as a
planned system, is widespread in communist regimes since production
decisions are made by the government. The principle of free markets is
at the heart of the market economic system. To put it another way, the
government plays a minor role. The government has little control over
resources and avoids interfering with vital economic sectors. Rather,
people and the supply-demand connection are the sources of
regulation. Finally, a mixed system combines the features of both
market and command economies. As a result, mixed systems are often
referred to as dual systems. The word is also used to characterize a
market system that is heavily regulated.
