The Evil Wizard and the Noble Knight

It was a cold and wintery night when the noble knight finally reached the top of
the summit, there he found the evil wizard reading a book while sitting on a fallen tree
near a campfire. Alas! The noble knight exclaimed, “I have finally found you!” The evil
wizard looked at the knight and said “So you have”. As the knight approaches the
wizard, he began to unsheathe his sword and pointed it to the wizard who was now
within the striking distance of his blade and yet was still reading his book. “Any last
words evil wizard?” the knight voiced out as he prepares to cut the wizards head off, the
wizard only sat there, looked at the knight in the eye and said. I’ve done many bad
things throughout my entire life and thus not worthy of any mercy, however I only ask of
you that you take good care of something for me once I am long gone. After saying this,
the wizard then closed his book and placed it near his wand, he then looked back at the
knight and gestured that he was ready to atone for his sins. The noble knight inhaled
deeply as he raised his sword and in one single blow the evil wizard fell dead on the
floor, the knight then rejoiced for the evil wizard was no more. As he searched the
wizard’s body for magical items, he noticed that the evil wizard was still holding on to
something. The noble knight checked what it was and was surprised to find out that it
was a small little baby bird. “Keeping this little baby bird warm in this cold and wintery
night maybe the evil wizard wasn’t always evil after all” The knight whispers to himself
as carried the bird with him as he descends from the mountains summit.
