Recommendations must be performed.
Due to the high level of danger while operating with the CB27, the
following safety measures must be executed:

DO NOT connect or disconnect energized signal cables.

WARNING! The CB27 is connected to dangerous voltage and

operates mechanisms with rotating parts, which are
hazardous. Thus, ONLY qualified personnel can perform
electrical installation and maintenance of CB27 switching
cabinet.
WARNING! The CB27 has two power sources: 3 ... 11 kV main
power supply and 220 V (AC/DC) auxiliary power supply. Make
sure neither of the voltages is supplied to the CB27 input
before maintenance and inspection.
WARNING! Any work related to power cables or control cables
must not be performed with the CB27 powered; dangerous
voltage (from external sources) can be present at relay outputs
even with supply voltage not supplied to the lead-in terminals
of the CB27.
10.1. Daily inspection
Daily inspection must include the following:
 ambient temperature and relative humidity are within the range
specified in Section 4.1 "Operating conditions";
 absence of conductive dust, fumes, lubricant contamination, or
explosive substances;
whether the CB27 produces any unusual sounds, vibrations, and smells;
 CB27 state indication function.

10.2. Periodic Maintenance

CB27 periodic maintenance must be carried out once a year. When CB27
operate in severe operating conditions (elevated temperature, dust,
pollution, vibration or shock loads), we recommend perform periodic
maintenance once every six months.
It is necessary to switch CB27 off to carry out maintenance work. Check
safety requirements during operation.

Fasteners
Loss of connecting bolts and / or detachable connectors can lead to a
failure of CB27 switching cabinet. During periodic maintenance, make sure
that all connectors and bolts are in place, tighten the bolt connections if
necessary.
During maintenance special attention must be paid to:
- input and output terminals for connecting high voltage;
- input high voltage measurement indication connection;
- connector for connecting to the unit on control panel.
Disconnectors
When maintenance the disconnectors:
- visually check the absence of unusual blackening in the switching
points of the disconnector. If this is detected, smooth out evenly with fine
emery paper until completely cleaned;
- check the manual drive operation of disconnectors for switching
between their contact groups in accordance with the design
documentation;
- if in the end positions of disconnectors handle the conductive jaws do
not fully enter the knives the rods must be adjusted.
Control panel
When servicing the control panel:
- visually check for unusual blackening on the power source;
- check relay contacts for damage;
- check the operation of the circuit breaker;
- blow through the panel with dry compressed air under pressure from 4 to
6 kg / cm2.

10.3. Contactor adjustment

Checking and adjusting the contactors is carried out in the following
sequence:
 check for a short circuit on the diode bridge using a multimeter;
 connect a voltage of 220 V to the contacts DX2, DX3;
 perform visual inspection of contactor vacuum chambers closure
state.
 check the closure / opening of the auxiliary contacts;
 check the closure state of the power contacts of the contactor's
vacuum chambers;
 carry out the adjustment of the adjusting bolts located under the
vacuum chamber in the absence of short circuit of one or more contacts,
Figure 26;
perform visual inspection of contactor vacuum chambers switch on
state.

 tighten the bolt, in case of closing one or more contacts, using the
wrench rotational clockwise movement in the range from half a revolution
to a full revolution around the axis of the bolt, Figure 27;

Figure 27. Adjustment of adjust bolts on vacuum chambers

Warning! If the contacts of the vacuum chambers cannot be
adjusted, the contactor must be replaced.
 control the closure of power contactors in the beep mode using the
APPA multimeter.
 check the tightness of the lock nut of the adjusting bolt with a torque
wrench with a tightening torque of not more than 28 Nm.
 check the adjusting bolt of the vacuum chamber with a lock nut.
11. Recycling
After the expiration of the CB27's life, it is necessary to dismantle it with
subsequent disposal. Dismantling of the CB27 includes the dismantling of
metal structures, fasteners, mounting bus bars and conductors, and
component equipment.
WARNING! CB27 and its packaging must be disposed of as
industrial waste.

Disposal of the CB27 components must be carried out in accordance

with national legislation and environmental requirements.
