How to Give Yourself a Manicure

The first thing to do is to prepare everything you will need- a

cup of lukewarm water, cotton, and emery board, a nail clipper, and
an orange stick. Remove the old polish with a piece of cotton
soaked in polish remover. Trim the nails with the nail clipper. File the
nails with the emery board following the natural curve of your
fingers. Soak your fingertips in lukewarm, soapy water for a few
minutes. Dry and clean the fingernails. Push the cuticle back with
the orange stick. Apply the nail polish with smooth, gentle strokes.
Brush the nail polish toward the end of the nails. Be sure the polish
is dry before you work with your hands; otherwise you might have to
repeat the job.
