T his year’s theme of the United Nations, International Year of Sustainable

Tourism and Development, was celebrated by the Social Studies Department of

Tala High School with several activities for the students such as essay writing,
poster making, quiz bee, exhibit, jingle making and singing contest, video making,
debate, and Mr. & Ms. Ecotourism pageant. The celebration ran from October 1 to
October 31, 2017 on which the culminating activity was held on the 3rd day of
November.

Under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Mrs. Milagros C. Montejo,
this year’s Mother Club Adviser is Mrs. Precious O. Gregorio. Led by Mrs. Gregorio,
the event’s details were disseminated by the help of the student officers of the
Social Studies Club.
