Chapter 1:Rumor

Miyaji Academy Cardfight Club were having lunch in the school cafeteria.Many students
present present there were staring at them talking about them quietly though it was not too
quiet.Since Vanguard Koshien which happened a year and a half ago after the Ultra Rare idol
Kourin Tatsunagi rejoined the Cardfight Club she have been visiting the club a lot.Seeing her
interacting with the club members and mostly with Aichi got the attention of all the students in
the school.Well because of that a strange rumor has started around the school.Many students
begin to think that Aichi and Kourin are in love with each other.Though it definitely was not the
truth.

Naoki,Shingo,Misaki and even Aichi were hearing that rumor a lot around lately.It has been very
disturbing for all of them.
"Huh,They are all staring at us.How much of this rumor is going to spread I wonder." ,Naoki
said.
"Yeah me too.",Shingo said.
Aichi sighed,"I am really not liking it."
"Yeah I can understand but come to think of it do you like Kourin,Aichi?",Naoki asked.

"Naoki-kun ,Kourin-san is just my friend like you all are.",Aichi was telling the the truth after all.
"OK,let's leave it so what's the Cardfight Club doing today?"
"Well we will be playing vanguard like usual but…"
"But what?"
"Did you forget that the final exams are coming up ,so it will be hard to maintain regular club
activities."Misaki answered.
"Oh that's right Boss."
"Have you been studying at all delinquent wannabe?Its Miyaji Academy we are talking
about.",Shingo asked Naoki.
"Um well I have been...Maybe not much.Hey Aichi let's have a joint study session.Boss can you
help out"
"Bad idea.",Misaki interrupted."The last time
we had one you and Shingo kept on engaging yourselves with cardfights."
"Well that's true."
Aichi laughed a little.

"By the way is Kourin coming today,Aichi?",Naoki asked.

"I don't know.Kourin-san is a busy idol and I have been busy with studying for the exams.Do you
know Misaki-san?"
"Well I think she said she will try to make it to the club after work."

"Hey there everyone.",Kourin said while entering the cafeteria.

"Kourin!",Naoki said excitedly.
While Kourin was heading towards the table where her friends were sitting she paused for a
moment.Aichi was sitting in the corner and the seats next to him and in front of him were
occupied.
"What's wrong Kourin?"Naoki asked.He was sitting next to Aichi,Misaki was sitting in front of
Aichi and Shingo was sitting in front of Naoki.
"Nothing."Kourin smiled a bit upsettingly.
Kourin took a seat next to Shingo.
"Oh I remembered that I had to return a book to the library.I also need to get a book.I will be
seeing you in the club room since lunch break is going to be over soon.",Aichi said.

"Umm Ok Aichi.",Naoki replied.

"So What's going on?People have been staring at us a lot lately.I do visit you guys a lot though
so even if I am an idol they should have gotten used to it by now.",Kourin asked.
"Well actually..",Naoki hesitatingly told Kourin about the rumor that has been going round the
school.
This surprised Kourin.
"What why would they..?"
"Yeah I don't know either but we know that you and Aichi are just friends.Jold on why are
blushing Kourin?Do you really.."
"No way!!",Kourin interrupted though she was blushing.
"Well Aichi said that he thinks you as friend though."
"Umm can you skip the topic." ,Kourin said though hearing Aichi's thoughts about her made her
a bit upset though it was very much like of Aichi to treat Kourin like his other friends.
"So what's today's plan?"
"Well we will be having cardfights like usual.Though we do have the final exams coming up in a
month.",Naoki replied.
"Come to think of it you will be graduating this year right Misaki and the others are becoming
seniors.So what are you planning for the future?"
"What else we will definitely be cardfighting like we do!But.. we won't be Miyaji Cardfight Club
huh..",Naoki replied.
"And also..",
"And also what?",Kourin got curious.
"Well we still have a year left to decide on what we would be doing but Aichi said he might
consider studying overseas.",Naoki said.
"What!I thought he would go to become a pro cardfighter!Aichi is the Asia Circuit champion!!He
can make a career out of Vanguard.",Kourin said shockingly.
"Well Aichi did say he does not think himself to be a World Champion.He loves playing
vanguard with his friends and love meeting new people through vanguard but he does not want
to make a career out of it.",
"That's just like of Aichi.",Misaki replied.
"I see.",Kourin said.
"So let's go to the club.Lunch break is almost over.",Shingo said.

After getting out of the library Aichi was heading towards the clubroom.Some of his classmates
were standing in the corner of the hallway talking.They were talking about the rumors.One of
them stood in front of Aichi ,"Hey there Aichi,so where is your girlfriend Kourin?Everyone has
been talking about you two."
Aichi got a little confused and annoyed.'It's those rumors again',he thought.'Seriously when did it
all started and when is it going to end?'

Aichi called down and answered,"Listen.."

Someone was watching them from behind the wall in the corner.It was Kourin.She thought that
she should visit Aichi in the library and then head to the club with him.She was eavesdropping
on the conversation.

"Listen Kourin-san and I are just friends.Kourin-san is my friend just like my

clubmates.I don't know how this rumor started but you have to stop talking about my teammates
like that.It is getting uncomfortable for all of us."
"So what we heard is wrong?That's what you are saying?You can't fool me around.",the other
person asked.
Aichi with a serious face replied,"Well I am saying the truth.What you guys have been hearing is
wrong.Kourin-san is just my friend ."
Somehow Aichi's reply broke Kourin's heart.She can tell that Aichi wasn't lying.She went back to
the clubroom.
Aichi looked to the corner.Kourin wasn't there
'Why did it feel like someone was hiding there overhearing our conversation? ',Aichi thought.
