Project Title (5 points): Admin Training Resources

Topic (and Subject Area, if applicable) (5 points): Develop a training resource library to house
all operational, training, and onboarding resources for department admins to effectively deliver
excellence.

Provost’s office, Admissions and Advising departments, Student Success Center

Intended Audience (5 points): Department admins

Timeframe (5 points): Due by August 26, 2022

Brief Description of the Purpose of the Project (10 points): The goal of this project is to create a
professional, dependable shared resource warehouse of documents, training materials and videos to
allow admins to properly perform their functions and duties with excellence.

Bulleted Overarching Goals (10 points):

 Develop a SharePoint site for housing all documents


 Provide access to all stakeholders and admins to view and edit as roles are established
 Create a broader audience for the contact list to ensure accuracy
 Establish a master calendar of meetings, due dates, and deadlines
 Provide a budget folder to house important data such as accounting processes/check requests
and expense reports
 Provie training videos and instructions for using Banner & Argos – how to enter class
schedules and check them as needed
 Provie training videos and instructions for processing Overrides
 House documentation and training for HBU Events process
 Provide instructions on requesting website updates
 House process for Advisee assignments - running an Argos report to ensure that everyone
has an advisor; see Argos report POD has established
 Provide master documentation to instruct admins on where to go for official information
 Mentorship on a case-by-case basis
 House documentation on hiring student workers - hiring through Handshake
 Provide onboarding resources as established by Human Resources - Hiring new faculty
members - office, nameplate, etc./moving offices
