Spiritual Realization In My IIM

Hostel Room

Rooms… that’s the place we live , we work , we think the most.

Room changes so does the life at different phases in life. That’s what happened
with me , I am happy about being in IIM and after classes my room gonna be
the place I gonna be in most so I was worried about the roommate I will get. I
was lucky with that I got great roomie. Then there were unannounced guests
like insects , lizards but its fine its their home too. Spirituality is really impor-
tant when we are going work under so much pressure all our life because its
gives us two most important things “ Peace ’’ and “ Hope ”
First night was full of worries and weirdly happy emotions living in
hostel. As soon induction started my roomie and I was sure we need to be
healthy both physically as well as mentally . To be mentally at peace and have
some better hope we started with gods. What’s better way starting spiritual jour-
ney without gods around us. We brought Ganesha , Laxmi Mata and Hanu-
manji’s small idols and created space perfectly near us and straight view from
our beds for it. We usually start our days with taking shower and then do small
puja almost everyday and we involve our neighbour roomies too and it makes
everyone happy. I don’t know if its what we should do or not but it makes us
feel good and we feel spiritual with that.
If you see the small idols carefully , the colours , the smile and mak-
ing of it really makes you feel better . We were never such spiritual but we are
happy with our little efforts to be . If that gives a peace and hope , its spiritual to
us and we will practice it.
