Reflection:
Put simply, we are drawn to people who exude confidence, especially since charismatic is a
term meant to describe someone who exudes confidence. The fact that being around someone
who exudes confidence or charisma tends to improve our own confidence could be one
explanation for this. Therefore, if you want to improve your self-confidence in a particular
behavior or objective, finding a role model who is already demonstrating it is a smart starting
step. Spend some time with that role model and allow them to infuse you with their confidence.
This also holds true in reverse. Spending a lot of time with people who lack confidence may
cause your own lack of confidence to become more pronounced. Of course, this does not imply
that you should sever contact from your less confident pals and exclusively socialize with
successful people.
