Interpretation : 1. Carbamylated Hb in patients with renal failure, acetylated Hb

affect the accuracy of HbA1c measurements.

2. Recovery from acute blood loss, hemolytic anemia will falsy lower HbA1c test results regardless of the assay
method used.

3. Iron - deficiency anemia is reported to increase test results.
