I wish to apply for the position of secondary school Mathematics teacher in your
institution. I have recently obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education major
in Mathematics last April 2018 in University of Mindanao, Digos City. My practicum was
completed in Digos National High School (DNHS) for two months. I have also passed
the licensure exam for teacher last September.

In college, I learned a lot about educational theory and methods but the time I spent
doing my practice teaching as a Math teacher in DNHS, it brought me much learning
especially in giving instruction and supervision. I experienced as a voluntary teacher in
primary school in our locality. I was able to develop my communication skills and my
pedagogy and it helped me be more prepared to a greater challenge which is to finally
embrace the job of being a certified educator. I am willing to be trained and undergo
series of workshops and lectures if you ask me to do so when you hire me. But still, I
believe that my knowledge, experience and skills are also enough for me to be a great
option for this position. I would be an asset to your school and would love the
opportunity to assist in the development and progression of your student’s learning.
