1. What is revolutionary in the concept of sandwich making and eating in Pret A Manager?
The concept of Pret a Manager when it comes to sandwich making and eating isn’t necessarily
unique today but it was one of the first of its kind. Pret a Manager first opened their shop in the
mid 1980’s in London. Now, they have over 130 shops in UK, New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

2. What are the “secrets” of Pret A Manager in the way it operates its sandwich factory?
Pret a Manager’s secret is to focus continually on quality -- not just of their food, but in every
aspect of the operations practice. They go to extraordinary lengths to avoid the chemicals and
preservatives common in most "fast foods", say the company. Many food retailers focus on
extending the shelf life of their food, but that is of no interest to them. They maintain their edge
by selling food that simply can't be beaten for freshness.

3. What does it mean that people is the “heart and soul” of business?
It is said that people is the “heart and soul” of business foe the reason that when people care,
the business is on sound. Its like people make run of business for they are the ones who buy, sell
and opearate a business.
