In this analysis, much focus will be directed on the overall message (theme) and figure of

speech in this song “Hall of Fame” performed by Script featuring Will.i.Am. The song Hall of

Fame has a general message telling the listeners to never give up at any point in life but to focus

on fulfilling their goals. This song has the power to motivate the listeners, and it makes people

know what they can accomplish if they make an effort to attempt it. This song has a feeling of

willpower, confidence, and strength.

Listening to the song can offer the desire to get up on your feet and seek the seemingly

impossible. It motivates to establish dreams because someday, someone will be recognized for

all their efforts. In stanza two, consider the statement, “You can move a mountain” (AuraEpics,

2021). the statement looks like quite an exaggeration, you cannot move a mountain. but staying

focused can enable you to be successful in finishing the task— everything can be valuable in the

end.

The song Hall of Fame contains a figure of speech; the best example of figurative

language in this song is the use of metaphors. Consider in stanza 8, “Cause you to burn with the

brightest flame”— listeners are told that they can be courageous, brave, and bold like a brutal

light during the vicious dark. A flame stands for purity, strength, and energy.

Imagery is present in the song, and there is an image established in the mind of the

listener (s). Listening to the chorus makes the audience imagine standing alone in a spotlight of

glory in the hall of fame. Listeners will also think that while they are in the hall of fame, there

will be thoughts of accomplishments as the world chants their name.
