Story 6

Listen to your parents!!

Bill is working at a nightclub. He is a bar-tender. He goes to work at noon. He never sees the
daylight. He serves large quantities of drinks every day. He doesn’t have any interest in his job,
but he always tells himself it’s better than staying jobless. He is dreaming of becoming a
filmmaker and smoking cigars like people who have great wealth. He wants to have an
apartment that overlooks the ocean; but he can’t be rich anyways because he didn’t finish his
school. He was so lazy and didn’t attend his classes. He never listened to his parents’ advice: “If
you don’t study, you will end up as the cleaner of our street and you will live in poverty.” He
always recalls this conversation while he is cleaning up the nightclub!
