Protexa is a manufacturer of domestic and industrial products, providing services
such as waterproofing agents, special coating services, asphalt products, non-woven
fiberglass mesh, polyethylene pipes and accessories.

Founded in May 23, 1945, Don Humberto Lobo Villarreal founded the first Protexa
company, marking an important stage in the industrial of Monterrey and helping to
create large manufacturing plants in Mexico. Protexa is today a solid company in
knowledge and testing. In the industrial, energy, real estate and corporate sectors.

Our constant innovations and accumulated experience allowed us to multiply our

expansion from Nuevo Leó n to eight states, with operations throughout Mexico and
Latin America, but on August 11, 2021, a strong fire in a Protexa insulation plant,
located in the municipality of Santa Catarina, left two workers dead and six injured, as
well as the evacuation of a hotel and companies near the accident due to the leakage of
material to produce asphalt. One good thing about the Protexa company is that with
participation in the sectors industrial, energy, real estate and business, reported
through a statement that the injured workers were transferred to an IMSS hospital
and recovered.

It´s very important to have a emergency protocol in case of a fire, becuase accidents
happend. You colud have an amazing way to prevent fires but , we are humans, so we
are not perfect and we make mistakes. If i were the owner of the company i would
make sure to implement this protocol to my employees.

- Leave the fire area

- Help others, only if it is safe to do so
- Activate the fire alarm
- When leaving, close doors and windows if possible
- Do not use elevators
- Turn off electronic equipment
- Help extinguish fire only if authorized and trained to do so
- Notify emergency services.

IF YOU CANNOT LEAVE THE PLACE

- Report your position from a window

- If your body is hit by the flames DO NOT RUN, STOP, THROW TO THE FLOOR AND
TURN ON YOUR BODY
- Drop to the ground and wait for the vapors to rise.

- Go to the meeting point

- Check if someone is missing
- Stay more than 30 meters from the building or fire area
- Don't go back to the scene.
