USES :

The bag technique is a tool by which the nurse, during her visit will enable her to perform a
nursing procedure with ease and deftness, to save time and effort with the end view of
rendering effective nursing care to clients.

• BLOOD PRESSURE APPARATUS


− Blood pressure measuring equipment is known as sphygmomanometer (BP apparatus in
common usage).
− Sphygmomanometer is used for measuring blood pressure. A sphygmomanometer also
known as a blood pressure metre, blood pressure gauge, or blood pressure monitor, is a
device that monitors blood pressure. The sphygmomanometer instrument consists of an
inflatable rubber cuff which is applied to the arm.

• THERMOMETER
- What is a thermometer used to measure?
- A thermometer is an instrument that measures temperature. It can measure the
temperature of a solid such as food, a liquid such as water, or a gas such as air. The three
most common units of measurement for temperature are Celsius, Fahrenheit, and kelvin.
The Celsius scale is part of the metric system.

• BETADINE
- Betadine is the antiseptic medicine of choice that effectively treats skin infections, minor
wounds, burns, and bruises. Betadine is also used in a medical setting to help prevent
infection and promote healing in skin wounds, pressure sores, or surgical incisions.

• COTTON BALLS
- A cotton ball is a ball of soft fiber that is primarily used for medical or cosmetic purposes,
but can be used for other purposes such as arts and crafts or cleaning. They originate from
the cotton plant, which is a shrub that is found in sub-tropical and tropical regions
throughout the world.
• PULSE OXIMETER
- Pulse oximetry, or pulse ox, is a quick, inexpensive, and needle-free test that measures the
amount of oxygen in your blood. It shows whether your heart and lungs supply enough
oxygen to meet your body's needs.

• SOAP
- Hand soap will help to break down and remove particles of food, but greasy
residue will be harder to remove. Hand soap is great to use in a pinch, but dish
soap will make your whole washing routine a little less intense.

• HAND TOWEL
- Hand towels are small towels used to dry the hands after washing them.

• ALCOHOL
- Alcohol is an effective antiseptic, meaning that it’s proven to kill bacteria and viruses on
organic surfaces.
