INCREASE OF RAPE CASES IN INDIA:

In India rape has become the most common criminal activity
nowadays. The general term that has been given to the rape is
Balatkar in India. When a person is being raped her emotion and
dignity are also being raped. It put a person in such a horrifying
and traumatic situation from where it is hard for that person to
escape. It is a heinous crime that not only affects the victim but
also the society as a whole. There is no single definition that could
define rape because sometimes it breaks all the limitations that a
person could imagine.

The increasing number of rape cases in India daily put a question

on the safety of women in India. In India, not a single day passes
without hearing any rape cases.

This topic is always on the news because persons are being raped After filing the complaint against the person living next door
often in India and outside of India. by the girl’s parents. The police searched the person house
where the truth was revealed in a shock. There, police found
the body of a little girl Chaitra wrapped in a bedsheet be-
ing half-naked. There were several injuries to her body. The
neighbour was quite friendly to Chaitra that’s why the parents
trusted him.

Another recent case related to the sexual harassment of a

woman in the Indian air force. It has been reported that
a female air force officer was subjected to the banned and
intrusive two-finger test by the Indian air force doctors. The
two-finger test also known as the so-called virginity test is
unconstitutional in India.

The female officer alleged sexual assault against a 29-year-old

colleague, a flight lieutenant who has been arrested by police.
A recent case of a 6-year-old girl child named Chaitra was raped
and murdered by a neighbour in Hyderabad.

The parents of that 6-year-old girl complained about the missing

of their child in a nearby police station. The police initiated the
investigation in and around the surroundings but were not able
to find anything related to that. Later the police interrogate the
parents that if there was anyone whom they suspect. At that time
Chaitra’s mother mentioned a person named Raju a 30-year-old
man living next door, who was not seen after the girl was missing.
