Introduction
A nation or a country is said to be a developed one when its technology steps up day by
day. Technology is simply applications of scientific knowledge which aims to facilitate human
life. A famous author David Warlick says “We need technology in every classroom and in every
student and teacher’s hand because it is the pen and paper of our time and it is the lens
through which we experience much of our world”. Same as Artificial Intelligence is a technology
of modern world which is growing rapidly and facilitating every aspects of human life. Its
advantages are many in number but few are as follow. Like reduction in human errors, takes
risks as compared to human, 24×7 availability, fast decision making, and repetitive and
numerous jobs at one time.
Historical Background
Artificial Intelligence is an invention of 1950s by a scientists Marvin Minsky, Darmouth
College USA. The slow and steady progress in AI continued but in 21 st century it was reshaped
and advance techniques were developed in this field. By 2016, the market for AI related
products, hardware and software reached more than 8 billion dollars. The New York Times
reported that interest in AI had reached its peak. Currently, its progress graph is increasing
exponentially.
Body
One of the major advantage of AI is that it reduces errors, which are very common in
human, with an accuracy of approximately 100%. Quran says “to err is human and to forgive is
divine” which means that it is common in humans to make mistakes. In Every moment human
beings commit errors intentionally or unintentionally which are sometimes recoverable and
sometimes unrecoverable. Therefore, AI is powerful tool which minimizes human mistakes and
errors with accuracy and precision.
AI based machines take risks as compared to human beings which is one of the biggest
advantage. Risks on life like defusing a bomb, going in space, exploring the deepest part of sea
or ocean etc. we can overcome many risks limitations of humans by developing AI in different
machines. However, by using this technology we achieve zero risks to human being.
The availability of this technology is 24×7 which is another prominent advantage of AI.
As common to daily routine, a normal man works 8 hours a day. If this limit exceeds, man gets
mentally and physically ill. AI is very much helpful ending this problem because it can work
endlessly and repeatedly 24 hours and 7 days. Hence, it is clear that the availability of AI seems
to be very much helpful to human being.
Another biggest advantage of AI is that it has the capability of fast decision-making.
When a human being sits for making a decision, mostly emotional and practical factors delay
human thinking’s. AI is a powerful computer program where program/code is burnt into
machine further machine follows and execute the assigned job within microseconds. Newly
advance HP computer processors speed up to 4 GHz. Therefore, it become crystal clear that AI
has the ability of fast making-decisions.
Another major advantage of AI is that it manages to do repetitive and numerous jobs at
one time. Day by day the load of work of a normal man is increasing at office. Man cannot
manage to overcome the load because he has a fix capacity of doing any work. “Never chase
two rabbits at a time both will scape” means that never do two jobs at a time because you will
fail to achieve one. But AI is such a technology which can do repetitive jobs. Like AI based
computer can do mailing, make documents, scanning etc. Hence, it is now quite clear that AI
can do repetitive and numerous job at one time.
Conclusion
When comparing the technology of today with yesterday, AI has brought prominent change.
Because its various advantages made life comfortable and easier. Let’s elaborate its
advantages. Following are given below like reduction in human errors, takes risks as compared
to human, 24×7 availability, fast decision making, and repetitive and numerous jobs at one
time. It is stated clear that man is improving his life styles day by day through technology. If we
discuss AI, it has the potential for creating a better world to live in. If researchers continue on
