September Moon Phases September Highlights


> Fall Equinox - Sept. 22 marks the Autumnal, or Fall, Equinox, when the
sun rises exactly East and sets exactly West. As we approach the winter
season, the sun will rise and set in the southern sky and our days will be
FIRST FULL LAST NEW getting shorter.

> Jupiter & Saturn - The gas giants, Jupiter and Saturn, will once again
grace our early evening sky. Saturn will appear higher in the
south-eastern sky, sandwiched between the Hawaiian star families of
Mānaiakalani and Kalupeakawelo. On Sept. 26, Jupiter will be at the
opposite side of the Earth from the sun and rise in the East at the same
time the sun sets in the West.
