Name :
Philosophy and the core essence of our schooling are embedded into the
name of our school - UNICENT.
The name of our school embeds our philosophy and the core essence of our schooling.
Our philosophy which says every child is ‘UNique’ and the core essence of our school
being child ‘CENTric’ together form UNICENT, a child centric school in its true sense.
School Vision
School Philosophy
Dear Parents,
Unicent has made STEADY PROGRESS in the last few years and has started to make its
presence felt in the education sector, we have designed a curriculum to offer quality
education, we have built infrastructure to provide the best of opportunities, we have
created an ambience for joyful learning. However, to sustain the quality, we need to adhere
to the rules and regulations, as well as the norms and practices set by the school. In our
continuous effort of imparting child centred education and imbibing human values, we have
chosen an acronym ‘ETHICS’ for the values taught at Unicent. The core values are Empathy,
Team Work, Humility, Integrity, Courage and Self Discipline. With unstinted continued
support and cooperation from our parents, we are sure, we would be still moving ahead,
thereby creating greater impacts in the education sector.
The School Diary is a mode of effective two way communication between the school and the
parents. Parents are requested to read through the school diary for information regarding
regulations. In this diary, we have compiled all the information pertaining to the day-today
activities of the school; this will be a handbook for your reference as well as a means of
communication. The school diary is to be preserved carefully and no page is to be torn from
the diary. It has to be brought to school everyday to record the instructions and home work
given by the school staff. This process helps the children to be systematic and maintain
punctuality. Parents are expected to sign the school diary regularly.
However parents also receive communication through the school-app unless there is an
incidence of technical error.
According to John Holt, the famous educationist “School is a place in which all children
grow not just in size, not even in knowledge, but in curiosity, courage, confidence,
independence, resourcefulness, resilience, patience, competence and understanding”.
The whole staff of Unicent works round the clock to see our children in the above definition
of a school.
Kindly make sure that you go through the diary and apprise yourself of the school norms to
guide your child suitably. We would be happy if both parents and students use the diary
optimally and refer to it often in the context of daily issues.

Unicent’s Morning Prayer
Oh my Lord! the source of wisdom, enlighten my mind
And strengthen my will.
During these years of my life, assist me in performing my duties.
May I never neglect my studies; help me persevere in my endeavors
Till I reach my goal.
Help me live in your presence, and behave honorably,
Choosing to do what is right, and pleasing to your sight.
May I always respect my parents, teachers and elders,
And be loving and kind to all those who are in need.
Bless me and all who take care of me
Give us all Your love and care.

IMPORTANT PROVERBS
9
Every rose has its thorn.
Experience is the best teacher.
Forewarned is forearmed.
God helps those who help themselves.
Half a loaf is better than none.
Health is better than wealth.
Honesty is the best policy.
Idle mind is a devil’s workshop.
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again,
It’s never too late to learn.
Look before you leap.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
One good turn deserves another.
Overcome evil with good.
Practice makes a man perfect.
Practice what you preach.
Silence is golden.
The pen is mightier than the sword.
Time and tide wait for none.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
To err is human, to forgive divine.
United we stand, divided we fall.
Waste not, want not.
What goes around comes around.
Where there is a will there is a way.
