First Week notes…

Schedule conflicts…

Becky: We want the DUAL classes labeled with the actual homeroom teacher. We also want the
grade level listed on all DUAL classes.

Becky-Can we have 5 minutes between classes? Classes are running into each other- no time
to use the restroom/reset the room/etc. ***I will not share names but there have been some
impatient classroom teachers during transition time already!

Becky:First period of the day, are we responsible for attendance & bell work? Homeroom
teachers will be in a meeting starting at 7:45am-8:45am. We will need to stop for breakfast at
8:05 just to get to our class on time.

-First period, are we staying in the homeroom or are we taking students to our rooms (late
buses, late arrivals, students eating breakfast past 8:15)
Becky After breakfast: We will decide individually if we will stay or go back to our room to teach
our content.

Becky: Review the 6th grade schedule because they are not seeing all related arts. Please
stress to all grade level classroom teachers that they need to read the schedule. We do not
individually know everyone’s schedule, only what classes we are seeing. We are having to
redirect the grade levels due to teachers not reviewing the specials schedule.

Ideas…
We create one Class Dojo for related arts … we need clarification if we can only send “positive
notes” only because we truly need it for any behavior issues! Did 7th & 8th grade already
establish their Class Dojo with students- we could use their info to set up ours???
Becky: Yes as a team we will create one Class Dojo for Related Arts & can we use this route to
share both positive notes OR any issues with students since we deal with ALL students it would
be easier for us. We were told once 7th & 8th set up theirs we could link ours so are they set
up?

What to do about A team classes. Function is minimal so how to create productive classes
and/or help with existing material in their classes?
Becky: Re: Autism students we are gonna “go with the flow with the classes” - go to them
except F’s class will come to us. Life skills later but for now just help
-Synergy not complete- can we please share printed rosters so we at least have that?

Questions…
Will Jack still supply disinfectant wipes, spray bottles, etc. if we request them?

Becky: IEP Meetings! We will be doing a lot of them this year. To help honor our contract hours,
could we do virtual & or have the chance to add our input first so we may leave right afterwards
(if the parents/guardians do not have any questions or concerns?)
**If IEP is from 7am -8am it will clash with our breakfast/ class coverage expectations.

Becky: Do we do attendance at breakfast? What if Synergy locks up?

Dismissal..
Becky: Our older students are running through the hallways to get to Mensendick when
everyone is heading to their areas.

Becky: The last classes for the day on Friday …Dual 2nd thought they should pick up their class
for dismissal - they said you changed it?????? (art & music)
Becky: Ms. E’: Park/gate (she needs to open the gate faster or whoever is there first)
