improving the people’s ability in translation. We can find out each paper has its own
distinctive features in the researching methods and objectives. If the article of
Pattanapong Wongranu only focused on the third-year English major students at a
university in Thailand and the common mistakes that they got in translating their first
language into English, the article of Chi Do Na concentrated to the English major
Vietnamese students in general. However, both of their researches have related to the
common mistakes that they got when studying translation at school. In contrast, the
people in the paper of Mahmound Ordudari are translators and the problems they got
when translating the academic texts such as scientific, literary etc..

Because of their different objectives, they had very different ways in finding the
causes that leading to mistakes in translation that help learners realize the sources of
errors and providing them effective methods to solve those problems. The articles of
Pattanapong Wongranu has succeed in getting the necessary information through
intervewing 26 third-year English major students at Kasetsart university and discovered
that the main mistakes in translation come from the uneasy and not sure of one self in
many students. Furthermore, the research also find out one of the most important cause
which lead to get mistakes in translation is limit in understanding and using English
fluently. From the main causes that have been founded from the research, five solutions
have been shown out to solve this problem. the paper of Chi Do Na get the information
that related to mistakes in translation by making a survey with the participation of ten
first-year students who had finished the course of translation 1. The result from the
survey showed that the main problems come from the ways that they used in translating
as word by word. Besides, some interviews also been carried out to get more
information for the research. The results from the interviews showed that the mistakes in
translation not only come from the ways that Vietnamese students used in translation but
