3 PROBLEM SOLVING
1. Net pressure rises beyond maximum pressure setting of
regulator.
The pressure settings of the SF-M unit controller and the
compressor(s) interfere. The regulation is partly done by
the compressor regulator. Raise the pressure setting of the
compressor or/and lower the pressure setting of the SF-M
unit controller.
2. SF-M unit controller commands the compressor but the
compressor doesn’t switch on.
Put the compressor(s) in remote control.
3. Dewpoint of individual integrated dryers too high.
Connect the relay wiring of the dryer as indicated on the
service diagram.

Footnotes chapter 5

1) If required, the automatic restart function after voltage failure can be activated by Atlas Copco. The power recovery time (the period
within which the voltage must be restored to have an automatic restart) can be set between 1 and 254 seconds or to symbol 00!. If the
power recovery time is set to 00!, the unit controller will always restart after a voltage failure, no matter how long it takes to
restore the voltage. Provide a label near to the control panel warning the operator that the compressors automatically restart if the
voltage is restored.
2) If the key <<Yes>> was pressed at the question <<Do you want to change another command>>, the display will include the options
<<Add>> and <<Del>> (delete). In this case, one of these keys can be pressed without using the key <<Mod>> (modify) first.
3) To be activated by Atlas Copco only.
4) Once a compressor is automatically stopped, it will remain stopped for the minimum stop time, whatever happens with the air net
pressure.
5) The regulator does not accept illogical settings, e.g. if the stopping pressure is programmed at 7.0 bar(e), the maximum limit for the
starting pressure changes into 6.9 bar(e). The recommended minimum pressure difference between starting and stopping is 0.6 bar.
6) Is only accessible if the automatic restart function is activated. To activate the automatic restart function, consult Atlas Copco.
