Geek Charcha
AYUSHMAAN

Get around for a quick chit-chat and

BANSAL

no nonsense conversation with

Mr. Ayushmaan Bansal,
Growth Manager at GeeksforGeeks.

Responsible for devising growth

strategies, know what goes into
being responsible for taking things
forward at GeeksforGeeks.

As the head of Growth & Strategy at GeeksforGeeks,

a leading ed-tech firm in India, what is the best part
about being in this position?

The fact that one gets to think for people across the
world excites me to the point that I end up caring for
them as my own. The process where one gets to
anticipate what could be good for the people who
trust you comes off as not just a major
responsibility, but an interesting one too.

Can you discuss some practices you strictly adhere

to, while being at a top position like this?

We don’t push students into doing something that they

don’t want to do. At the same time, we put efforts into
encouraging the aspiring coders to learn better each
day, helping them realise their potential & dreams.

After #30daysofCodewithGFG, Coderita 2.0 & other

exciting coding contests, what can we expect from
GeeksforGeeks in the coming month?

April is usually the month we associate with

summer and everything growing. Keeping that and
our users’ needs in our mind, we’re back with our
Geeks Summer Carnival, a week long event by the
geeks, for the geeks and, to the geeks!

Please elaborate on how the Geeks Summer

Carnival would help students.

Well, Geeks Summer Carnival would be a blend of

everything a student or even a working professional
would need to enhance their coding skills,
knowledge and their professional growth. Discounts
on our courses, contests to promote competitive
coding, great rewards, and many surprises that
we’ve already conveyed to our users!

Lastly, what do you keep in mind when planning

events for coders?

Geeks love to code their way through rewards &

discounts, so we try to come up with fun events
where they can apply their theoretical and practical
knowledge. We try to put focus on the knowledge that
is eventually gained post an event. For those who
don’t perform well are guided towards
informative webinars & courses that might help them!

lagao. But how?

Programming is ALSO an art.

Don’t be around people who
think otherwise. You don’t need
that sort of negativity in your
lives. What you do need is to
enhance your logic-building
skills so that you can be a
better programmer.

(A coupon of INR 1000 and cool GfG merchandise)

Searching an element in a sorted array

Difficulty : Medium Accuracy : 74.24%

Given a sorted array of size N and an integer K. Check if K is present

in the array or not using ternary search.
Ternary Search - It is a divide and conquer algorithm that can be
used to find an element in an array. It is similar to binary search
where we divide the array into two parts but in this algorithm, we
divide the given array into three parts and determine which has the
key (searched element).

Example :
Input:
Think you can solve it?
N = 5, K = 6
arr[] = {1,2,3,4,6}
Output: 1
Submit Solution
Exlpanation:
Since, 6 is present in the array at
index 4 (0-based indexing),
output is 1.
