Q1. Why does Lillian find the Sakkaro family strange?


Ans. Lillian finds the Sakkaro family strange as they are always sunbathing and they keep to themselves.
Mrs. Sakkaro is always found to be looking at the sky and never comes out when its cloudy. They never
revealed their identity.

Q2. Why did Mrs Sakkaro finally agree to go to the park?


Ans. Mrs. Sakkaro agreed to go to the park as the newspapers mentioned that it would be a fair weather
and if there would be any unexpected changes in the weather then they would inform them.

Q3. Describe the Sakkaro family. Write all you know about them.
Ans. The Sakkaros were young and pleasant, dark and handsome. They liked to keep to themselves.
They were always worried about the weather and would carry a pocket radio, a barometer to listen to
the latest weather updates. Their identity was kept a secret as no one knew where they came from and
what they do for their living.

Q4. Describe how the Sakkaros behaved at the park?


Ans. The Sakkaros inspected every quarter of the heavens and looked at the barometer and seemed to
find no fault about the weather. They had cotton candy and played darts, poker game, bowling, took
pictures of themselves, recorded their voices. When Mr. Wright offered Mr. Sakkaro a hamburger he
looked grim and shook his head and when Mrs. Sakkaro was offered orange drink she overreacted.

Q5. How did the Sakkaros act on the way home? Why did they act in that manner?
Ans. Mrs. Sakkaro’s hand trembled and the boy was on the verge of tears on seeing the clouds. When
they heard that there would be local thundershowers they insisted to leave immediately and asked
George to drive faster. The Sakkaros tumbled out, faces drawn with tension and ran towards their door.
They acted in this manner because they were scared of the rain.

Q6. What happened to the Sakkaros when they got caught in the rain?
Ans. Their faces blurred as the rain hit. All three shrivelled, collapsing within their clothes, which sank
down into three sticky wet-heaps.

Ans. He was carrying the pocket radio to Murphy’s Park where they had gone to spend the day with
their neighbour, Mr. Wright and his family.
