1 General
ACCURA 9/9L maintains shot volumes constantly at any variation of the material balance in the barrel by
means of IEI’s original shot volume control system. The newly incorporated shot-pressure compensation
function can acknowledge the material level in the barrel constantly and compensate the shot pressure
automatically, which solves the former problem of shot-volume variance.
Be sure to read through this instruction manual for correct handling and operation of Accura 9/9L dispenser.
Warning
z Never take the cover off or take the unit apart, or you may get an electric shoc
k.
Caution
z Be sure to read through the catalogue and the instruction manual for safety use.
z Do not exceed the applicable temperature range or you may get an electoric shock.
z Do not exceed the applicable air pressure source range or it may get damaged.
z Do not use the product in the environment under high-temperature, high-humidity, dust
and gas corrosion (chloride, acid and alkali) or you may get an electoric shock.
z Do not convert or remodel the products. We are not responsible for any accidents
and damages caused by it.
z Use the instructed voltage to input or it may get damage.
z When the fuse blows out, never replace it by yourself. Consult with the agent or us
to return for repair.
z Take preventive measure against the serge voltage such as thunderbolt, or it may get
damage due to the abnormal voltage.
z Keep the unit away from vibration or shock from outside.
z Never let the noise in Accura9/9L controller and the wiring cable.
z Ground lead is required, or you may get an electoric shock.
z Never operate the unit according with any other instructions not stated in the
instruction manual. Consult with us if you have any questions.

If there are multiple input items on the screen, the following procedures should be taken.
1) Go forward the item with MENU Key.
2) Return to the previous item with SHIFT+MENU Key.
When power-switch is on, the mode screen appears after the title screen. In case of power off on the last

Dispense automatically according to the input shot-data. This Auto mode can be used for shot compensation,
vacuum compensation and empty alarm function. Auto mode consists of three modes such as shot-screen,
data editing screen and D.SAMP function setting screen. There are 3 screens such as D.SAMP, Bottom &
Top level sampling screen and Empty Alarm Setting Screen under the D.SAMP function setting screen.
In the Auto Mode, shot screen is shown at first. In the screen, dispensing carries out according to the input
data on the data-editing screen.

Functions
Exchange barrels
To exchange barrels, press CLR RESET Key.
Dispense-pressure and vacuum-pressure returns to the initial setting figures. Dispensing counter
will be cleared ‘0’. The lapsed time is reset when viscosity-compensation is working.
Dispensing
One shot dispensing is operated with /OFF key. Level compensation and vacuum compensation works
while Bot-Level and Top-Level are set ‘ON’ on the D.SAMP function setting screen.
Continuous dispensing
Continuous dispensing is operated with SHIFT+ /OFF key. Continuous dispensing keeps on working
until the Sc (dispensing counter) reaches the initial setting at setting Sc (shot counter). Press /OFF key
in order to stop the continuous dispensing. While not setting the dispensing counter, the continuous
dispensing stops by pressing /OFF.
When changing barrels, fine-adjusted dispensing period is reset. If the adjusted dispense period i
sover ±20% or the dispense time is required to adjust soon after changing the barrels, a data
sampling is required by changing the dispense period and pressure.
※When only foot switch is used, it can be shifted to input through LCD panel by
pressing SHIFT+REMOTE key.
※Refer to 10 “Remote Mode” in the instruction manual for details.
Input and edit of channel data are operated on this screen. Input each necessary data while watching the
quantity of dispensing material with /OFF Key.

Level compensation
Compensate a shot volume corresponding to decreasing material volume in a barrel.
Set Cm on the edit screen LE for data sampling on the D.SAMP setting screen.
Level compensating coefficient is shown beside LE for adjusting the increasing pressure.
The cursor key of (↑、↓)can be used.
At normal time, +0 is shown.
To increase the shot pressure, direct toward +.
To decrease the shot pressure, direct toward -.
In the case of compensating level at AUTO mode, do not compensate the level at
STEADY mode in the same channel. Sampling data changed
Viscosity compensation
In accordance with the predetermined data for viscosity compensation at VISCOSITY mode,
the shot pressure will be changed automatically corresponding to the lapsed time. This will be used
for the material when viscosity varies. Set Cm on the edit screen ‘VI’, and input the number of
viscosity compensation table at VISCOSITY mode.
The lapsed time is shown at the upper-left of dispense screen while compensating viscosity. Press CLR
Key to clear the lapsed time and return shot pressure to initial setting values.
Intermittent compensation
Increase the shot pressure per the predetermined shot times. This can be effective when the level
compensation does not work. For example, when non-standard barrel is used or pipe is too long.
Set Cm on the edit screen ‘In’ and input the value as stated below.
3 digit from the left:Shot interval to increase the pressure.(Shot number)
3 digit from the right: Pressure increased value. ( kPa: 000.0Kpa )
This screen operates to memorize the sampling data for each channel into ROM and to set the empty alarm
function. In case of selecting ‘level compensation’, all functions can be set. In case of selecting other than
‘level compensation’, only the condition for vacuum data at Top-Level can be memorized into ROM.

OFF : Function set off
Remark
When the selected function is NOD, the cursor key (↑↓) will not work to set the function. The sampling
data should be memorized into ROM.
Memorize the sampling data at the level compensation into ROM in order of Bot-Level and
Top-level. The data sampling at Bot_Level and Top_Level enables shot compensation and vacuum
compensation, downloading the sampling data for empty level into ROM and setting empty alarm function.
The sampling data for vacuum condition besides the level compensation should be downloaded
into ROM at Top_Level. The vacuum condition is changeable.
STEADY Mode can be operated in manual to dispense material. Dispense out while the /OFF key is being
pressed.
The mode consists of three screens such as shot-screen, data editing screen, and D.SAMP setting screen.
The screens for sampling at the Bottom & Top levels and for setting of empty-level are located under the
D.SAMP setting screen.
In the STEADY Mode, the shot screen will appear at first. Dispense according to the set data in the data

RAM for ACCURA9 is backed up by lithium battery so that the data may not be erased if the
Power supply is turned off.
The life of battery is about 1.5 years (conditions on 16 hours of power off a day)
Memorized setting data and important data for the system may disappear completely if detaching the
backup battery while turning ACCURA 9 off for a long time (5∼6 hours). Replace batteries as the
following procedures.
In the event of data loss or request for us for barreries replacement,
please contact us .
Battery for use:CR2032 (Panasonic)
(1) Power off Accura9
(2) Take off the chassis cover of Accura 9

Maintenance
No special maintenance is required as far as the controller is operated under normal condition.
Consumable
・Do not use a cracked or flawed barrel. The barrel is disposable.
・When the O-ring of the adapter assembly is corroded by the solvent or when it hardens, replace
it with a new one.
・The adapter assembly, barrel, needle and O-ring are consumable. Specify the size and model
number when ordering.
Miscellaneous
When turning off controller, take off asapter assembly, which is connected to air outport or decrease air
source pressure .
