What is all about attitude?

Attitude:

 It describes the degree of flexion thr fetus assumes or the relation of the fetal parts to each
other.

Types:

1. Good attitude

 Complete flexion
 Spinal column is bowed forward
 The head flexed forward
 The chin touches the sternum
The arms are flexed and folded on the chest
 The thighs are flexed on the abdomen
 The calves are pressed against the posterior aspect of the thighs

2. Moderate Flexion

 Brow Presentation
 Fetus chin is not touching the chest
 "Military" position
 Presents the occipitofrontal diameter

3. Poor Flexion

 Cannot do normal deliveries since it is bery dangerous


 Back is arched
 Neck extended
 Presents the occipitomental diameter
 Occur if there is oligohydramnios
 May indicate neurological abnormality

4. Partial Extension

 In between moderate and poor


 Presents the brow
