ACTIVITIES

Write a list of specific actions that can be classified as human acts, as well as actions that can be considered as
acts of man. Give reasons why that particular action is included in your list.

ACTS OF MAN HUMAN ACTS REASONS

BREATHING Telling lies or truth -These particular actions were

included in my lists since both
actions are considered an act of
man and a human act. We
naturally breathe since we are
human beings, this considered act
of man as it is not dependent on
the intellect and the will of every
human. Telling lies or the truth is
considered a human act since this
is based on the deliberate free
will of a man.
SLEEPWALKING Eating - I include sleepwalking in my
Act of man lists because some
people experiencing
sleepwalking, and this act
becomes an example of an act of
man since they unconsciously
doing it. While in human act I
include Eating since it is proper
to man.
GROWTH Giving something to -I also added growth under Acts
others of man for the reason that we do
not really know that we grow
gradually and it is a kind of
involuntary action. Giving
something to other people is a
kind of Human act since it is
knowingly performed by a
person.
PERSPIRATION Cursing -Perspiration usually happens
naturally whenever we do
vigorous physical activities so I
also include this in my list since
this is an act done without self-
awareness. Cursing is done by
our own free choices, I also
include this in my list knowing
that when a person curses both
intellects and will are in play.
YAWN Act of love - I also include yawn under Acts
of man in my list for the reason
that it usually happens without

1
our free will or something that is
beyond one's consciousness. An
act of love is properly
enlightened by knowledge, it
proceeds from a deliberate free
will of a man, therefore, I lastly
added this to my list since this is
a kind of human activity.

C. APPLICATION

Task questions.
Answer reflectively the following 1

1. How do you know whether your action is morally responsible?

- Every time I do something I always make sure that every action I did is aligned with morality and didn't
violate anything. We will know whether our action is morally responsible when we are doing or
committing actions that are considered right.
2. How do you find studying the morality of human acts and moral accountability contribute to our daily
living?
- I honestly say that I'm not completely knowledgeable in morality of human acts and moral
accountability, there are things that I'm still lack of when it comes to this, so I can say that studying the
morality of human acts and moral accountability is really useful and helpful because it has given us
moral ideas which can help us improve ourselves every day as a human person. This also motivates as
well as awakens us to do good things all the time and act accordingly.

Choose three questions Task 2

to answer.

1. On what moral grounds is the employment of violence justified?

2. Is an indirect voluntary act still voluntary? Justify answer
- Yes, voluntary is voluntary. I mean how can someone say that they indirectly voluntarily killed someone. But
they shouldn’t be at fault since they didn’t directly volunteer. If someone act or did something that is not right
though it is an unintended act as long as they have foreseen the consequence of something that is deliberately
willed but they still continue to do it, they their actions are still considered voluntarily.

2
3. Is a drug addict still morally responsible for his acts over which he has no more control? Explain your answer.
- Of course, a drug addict is still responsible for his actions even if we can say that he lost his control. You always
have the choice of quitting instead of hurting someone.
Everyone has a cross to bear. Everyone has a circumstance without which their lives would be a lot easier. Drug
addicts chose their cross. They made themselves into addicts. They actively participated in removing themselves
from a place of control in their lives. We are all held accountable for our behaviors, no matter what. Looking at
the moral side of all of this, one would have to judge each incident separately, because no 2 would be alike.

4. Suppose there is no law against drug-pushing, would it be morally right? Support your answer
- No, it’s not morally right. We do all know how dangerous those illegal drugs. There are lots of negative effect of
drug-use making it morally wrong and we know that it is appropriate for the government to ban this kind of
wrongdoing because if there is no such law against drug pushing, then there is no justification for the state to act
and punish the perpetrator for their actions.

5. Is one morally responsible for inflicting damages which he never intended to cause another? Justify your
answer.
