The bobo doll experiment article summary

The bobo doll experiment is an experiment conducted by the Stanford psychologist

Albert Bandura on children in the early 1960s with connection to the hypodermic needle
theory (Bandura, Ross & Ross, 1961). In the experiment written in the article, there were
groups of children, one group were exposed to a film beating a bobo doll with a mallet and
the other group shown a film with no beating bobo doll. Later on, after watching the short
film they moved the children on two separate room with toys inside.

Nonetheless, they were educated that they could, not play with them. Consequently,
the circumstances were made helpful for their being baffled. Subsequently, the kids were
brought to a room which had a bobo-doll and a hammer. Those group of children who had
seen violence (whether or not it was film, animation) they have imitated what they had
seen by beating the bobo-doll. Be that as it may, the people who had not been presented to
any viciousness didn’t participate in this sort of direct.
2. Based on your chosen article, evaluate the view that the Hypodermic needle effect
theory does or does not have a direct and immediate impact on popular culture?
Focus your views on the relationship between sex, violence, and the media as an
example. (Not more than 3 paragraphs with 3 sentences each). (10 points)

Hypodermic needle theory is a form of communication theory that shows the

connection or relationship of what is shown in the media and how the audience received
and accept the messages implied to media. And on the article it was directly shown how
the media impacted the people who have exposed to it. They have acquired the same
behavior they have seen on media.

In connection to popular culture, media plays a big role in changing ones behavior.
Because many of the people exposed on sex and violence on different media platforms,
there are people who become aggressive in personal. They become more lustful and
addicted to sexual pleasure that they became rapists and criminals.

Subsequently, the hypothesis holds that the makers of media content can promptly
control a target group and essentially shape its lead. It has thusly been condemned for
considering people to be detached all the while. That is why we should be aware of what
we have been watching on media that can affect is negatively.
