2. Why is it necessary to be independent?

Being independent helps you build confidence in your own capabilities.


Working on your own accord educates you. Being independent aka exposing
yourself to hardships, taking accountability, etc, is a great way to expand your
horizons and hone your skills. Therefore bringing you closer to true confidence
and success.

It earns you Respect and trust from others. Knowing how to live
independently means you’re capable of taking care of yourself and others. Not
only that, you’re also reliable. All of this contribute to building good
connections with others.

It helps you be more creative and insightful. Forming your own opinions and
seeing matters through your own lens can give you more foresight. Thus help
you to become a more useful and responsible member of society.

3. How to practice Independence

Be persistent and confident. Work on your own accord and don’t wait for
reminders from others. Work with absolute clarity. Try to keep mistakes to a
minimum. As constant failure will make you lose trust in your own capability.
Keep this in mind and you’ll develop trust in your own abilities. And that will
help push you to better yourself even further.
As students, start taking matters into your own hands. At school, Prepare
your utensils and study materials, do your exams and homework, etc, by
yourself. Never try to cheat or cut corners. At home, try to help with
housework, this will help you prepare yourself for an independent life later on.
When studying, initiate and engage in conversations and discussions with your
peers, look for extra material at the library. In conclusion, work and learn out
of self-interest and improvement instead of relying on others to force you
into doing it.

4. Small reminders

While it is important to be independent and mindful of our own


responsibilities, There is such thing as a limit. Try to do as much as you can,
but never forget to ask for help when you feel like you need it. No one’s
perfect and we can only achieve much when having others to curb our
shortcomings. Independence is important, yes. But connection and
cooperation is important and valuable. In summary, balance is essential. Be as
independent as you need to be in order to better yourself, but don’t be afraid
to ask for help when needed and cooperate when necessary.
