Nowadays modern technologies provide us lots of opportunities, that we use in our everyday life,
even if it has list of benefits, there are also some certain drawbacks too. This essay will examine
the advantages and disadvantages of modern technologies and provide a logical conclusion.
The two main advantages of using modern technologies are easy and fast access to information
and simplifying the performance of a number of tedious tasks. Firstly, technologies of the 21st
century such as personal computers or smartphones bring access to internet, where people can
find whatever they want. Secondly, it makes life easier in many fields of activity. For instance,
today there is no need to look through all the open spaces of information sources like books or
encyclopedias, which greatly simplifies the life of teachers and other professions preparing
educational material.
But modern technologies also have some major disadvantages like distraction from study and
unpleasant impact on the development of students' communication skills and social interaction.
Constant distraction from lessons can lead to laziness in students and impair their academic
performance. In addition, excessive devotion of time and empty procrastination leads to a
deterioration in communication skills not only in adolescents, but also in adults. However, these
problems are not widely publicized.
To conclude, even if modern technologies have some disadvantages, they are still an integral part
