Write what you would do in this

situation to cope with stress. Describe the situation from your own life experience when you felt
stressed (100-200 words)
• You are the first-year student of the University. You are taking your first exam. You are
absolutely calm and self-confident as you know the subject very well. You are taking a question
card and feel a cramp in the stomach. You don't remember the answer to the question.

It was my first exam at this University. I was not confused by the coming test, because I was
hundred percent sure about my knowledge and skills in this subject. However, when I entered the
lecture hall, I have felt heavy in my legs and my heart has started beating as fast as ever. I forgot
everything, that I had been learning all semester. I definitely didn’t expect that, so I tried to calm
down. Firstly, I drank some water, took a deep breath, and started remembering all information.
It took some time, so I started concentrating on my examination sheet. Actually, it was the
easiest test I have ever had, but because of sudden stress, I lost a lot of time. Certainly, I passed
my exam. After that, I hoped to get at least 70 points, but I got 90. I knew that I could do so
much better, if not for the fear of the exam. Therefore, every time I feel confused or not
confident enough, I just say to myself that it is not something so scary, it is just an experiment,
that all people receive, and it always helps.
