Activity 7: My Prompts, My Answer!
In this activity, you are going to make a sentence by competing the prompts.
1. In the social science perspective, the family is the key player that creates well-integrated
members of society. It provides important ascribed statuses such as social class and ethnicity to
new members. It is responsible for social replacement by reproducing new members, to replace
it’s dying members.
3. From the ecological perspective, a community focuses beyond individuals to include their
context or environment by requiring us to think how organizations, neighborhoods and
communities can either contribute to a person evidencing risky/destructive behaviors, or enhance
prosocial and constructive competencies.
4. In sectoral perspective, each sector has its own focus which includes voluntary sector or non-
profit sector. It’s a good way to remember that each sector has a specific part of society or the
economy made up of similar elements like health care sector or the education sector. For
example, our economy is divided into private sector (privately owned interest) and the public
sector (government).
5. The civil society perspective views the community as composed of the features of
associations in a public sphere or arena in their role in politics and society. The concept of social
movement refers to process of mobilizations and actions.
