Course focus
The global XR industry has made a commercial breakthrough. Operators in South Korea, Thailand and mainland China
have taken the lead in VR /AR services. According to Huawei and third-party insights, XR will achieve a global GDP
output value of US$1.5 trillion by 2030, equivalent to "rebuilding a 5G". In addition, Bloomberg estimates that the
production value of the metaverse (using technologies such as XR and blockchain) may grow to US$2.5 trillion by 2030,
representing a new driving force for the next golden decade of technology.

This comprehensive course, organised by the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), will track the development of
XR Extended Reality, Metaverse and Blockchain technologies and aims to bring new technologies to Hong Kong. We
will invite industry experts to show how XR, Metaverse and Blockchain technology can be applied in Hong Kong and
globally. Through the experts' explanations, participants will be able to better master the relevant technologies.

Upon completion of the course, students will receive a course certificate issued by the HKPC.

Mr. Jason Mok

Founder & CEO of MultimediaFi Limited
Mr. Mok graduated from the University of Western Ontario and the Hong Kong Polytechnic
University. He has over 18 years of experience in strategic management and operations of
technology-related companies such as Metaverse, Blockchain, and Gaming. He has founded
game, blockchain, and Metaverse companies. The company’s project has won the Hong
Kong ICT Award twice and has been supported by the Government Innovation and
Technology Fund, Cyberport, and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park Incubation
Program. He has also served as a graduate program tutor of the School of Professional and
Continuing Education of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and has been invited to be
reported by TVB, ATV, CableTV, newspapers and magazines and other media.
