I. IDENTIFYING INFORMATION:

TITLE: ROW BOAT WITH MOTOR FOR COASTAL FISHERMENS

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project will provide our fishermen’s daily need
for their daily living.

TARGET LOCATION: Catburawan, Ligao City

PROPOSED PROJECT COST:

TOTAL BARANGAY POPULATION: Its population as determined by the 2020


Census was 1,607. This represented 1.36% of the total population of Ligao City.

II. BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE:

A. Barangay Profile

There are 496 members who are members of the labor force, there are 51
households have reported having members who are unemployed. There are 46 male
and 38 female who are considered unemployed.

Of the 309 households, there are 103 households that have experienced food
shortage. 254 households lie below the poverty threshold, roughly 82.2% of the
household in the barangay. Poverty threshold or poverty line is the minimum income
deemed adequate in a household. The currently used poverty threshold is: 19,069
(Rural) and 20,315 (Urban).

The barangay has 1 health facility which is the Barangay Health Center. The nearest
hospital and drugstore could be found 64 kilometers away from the Barangay Hall.
Catburawan Covered Court is the service facility in the barangay.
Educational facility can also be found with Day Care Center, Pre-School and
Elementary School. The nearest High School is 2 kilometers from the barangay while
College or Vocational School can be located 64 kilometers away from the barangay
proper.

The public transportation present in the barangay is Jeepney and Motorcycle. The
road is concrete and in good condition, it is maintained by the Barangay
Government.

Being a Coastal Barangay, FISHING is a major source of income.

III. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Row Boat for Upland Fishermen’s is a boat propelled by oars alone, probably the


most common type of boat as of now is preferred with motor which they use in
fishing easily going at the sea and going back home.
