Details are summarized as below: Outstanding Bedhead Trunking (BHT) Resubmi ion Based on our records, your Bedhead Trunking (BHT) submissions (ref: NAH- BICS/CSF(M)/BL(EL)/0005 and NAH-B/CS/CSF(M)/BL(EL)/O005A, Appendix 1 refers) had been rejected on 17 June 2022 and 8 July 2022 respectively due to the submittals were deviated from contract specification, in particular the requirement on colour / finishes and their job references. The Bedhead Trunking System is one of the most complicated and long lead MEP items in the NAH ID VMU construction. An early confirmation of the interfacing details and material procurement are required in order to meet the tight construction programme. However, we are disappointed that despite our several reminders at the BS Meetings, ID \VMU Meetings and via various emails, the confirmation of the Bedhead Trunking Supplier, material and shop drawing / detailed submissions remain outstanding up to the date of this letter. Poor Coordin: (MEP) Mate ial and Equipment Submission As the Project Architect, it is our responsibility to review and approve the material submissions for the project. This would include the review of the visual part of the Building Services materials making sure the submitted materials are in compliance with contract specifications and users’ requirement. To our disappointment, it was found that sub- standard and un-organized Building Services material submissions including interior light-fttings, fire services installation equipment, sockets and switches were received by our office recently. Assigned a competent BS coordinator to review and strengthen the coordination with your vendors / suppliers, ensure all the material submissions are in compliance with contract specifications and in good quality; and 3. Expedite all outstanding MEP material and shop drawing submissions (Refer to Appendix 3). You are reminded that according to Clause PS. A15.22 (e) of the Particular Specifications, “The Contractor shall complete the off-site mock up rooms not later than 200 calendar days from commencement of the Contract.” According to your latest off-site ID VMU Programme (Revision 1), the Inspection of ID VMU had been extended to 9 November 2022, which would be two months beyond the original inspection schedule. In order not to further jeopardize the ID VMU hence the overall project programme, your reply within 7 days of this letter with a Remedial Proposal on how to catch up the delay and prevent further slippage of the programme is required.
