II. Insights gleaned from the journal

School is a vital institution that provides children with opportunities for cognitive emotional,
behavioral and social development. It equips them with the required skills to make their place in
society and at work.

Although one of the school's most important functions is to assist children in their learning
processes, this institution can become a stress factor that causes students to encounter emotional,
academic, behavioral and interpersonal difficulties. Students who have difficulty concentrating on
school-related activities and their lack of attention negatively affect their level of learning while at the
same time damaging the academic and social aspects of their success not just at school but also in
their future.

The author said that the high demands of school and education are causing fatigue for students,
which is called school burnout syndrome. The associated symptoms include mental fragility and
physical exhaustion, and the effects can ripple into every aspect of a student's life. School burnout can
lead to absenteeism, low enthusiasm for learning, and high dropout rates. It also noted that peer
groups that experience school burnout end up being low-profile.

The author suggests that group therapy can be an effective way to treat school burnout, but it is
not shown to be effective in dealing with family fatigue or school inadequacy. I believe that student
burnout needs to be tackled as soon as possible. It can have an effect on any aspect of a student's life.
With the aid of school counsellors, services, projects and peer support, students can overcome
burnout and succeed in their academics.
III. Application of Insights in Relation to
A. Research

Mental health issues are largely neglected in the majority of developing

countries. Burnout is increasingly recognized in the field of research and education, as is
very common among students. School burnout continues to occur amid the promotion of
mental health wellbeing. Further research is required on the development of successful
approaches and theraoy for students attending online classes and experiencing school
burnout, particularly during this time of pandemic.

B. Application

It is important to address this issue in order to prevent the depression, anxiety,

and sleeplessness that so many students experience. Conducting group counseling would
help students with burnout problems at school. Mitigating burnout means that less
students suffer from depression and anxiety.

During a group counseling, we can apply techniques for detecting, reversing and
handling school burnout that will benefit the student. Creating intervention and resources
that will help students understand and deal with their mental, behavioral and personal
issues. Teaching life skills to deal with problems before they worsen. By handling
burnout, we help students perform better and reduce the number of student dropouts.
