Hub:

- All host share the same collision domain: only one device can transmit one at a time
- All ports on a hub are by default in the same broadcast domain

Switch

- Each port on a switch or a router is in a separate collision domain. All host have their
own dedicated collision domain.
- All ports on a switch are by default in the same broadcast domain
 Separate Collision Domain depends upon port that device have, or Collision Domain
depends upon ports that switch have
 One Broadcast Domain

Router

- Each port on a switch or a router is in a separate collision domain.


- All ports on a router are in the different broadcast domains and routers don’t forward
broadcasts from one broadcast domain to another.
 Separate Collision Domain depends upon port that device have, or Collision Domain
depends upon ports that switch have
 Separate Broadcast Domain depends upon port that device have.
